INDEPENDENCE

 FREE blog#6

Do you still live with your parents? Do you want to be independent, but do you know where to start?

This blog episode will be about how to be independent and how to stand on your own feet. Disclaimer: I'm not saying that living with your parents or relying on others makes you weak or whatever they call it. That doesn't matter because we have a different point of view in life. I simply want to share my experiences in the hopes that they will inspire you to take the first steps toward independence.

When I was in high school, I was really struggling with financials because there were 10 people in the family. I have 7 siblings and we live with our parents, my Mom and Dad. I see how they have a hard time working just to meet our needs and sometimes the money they earn isn't enough for us. After I graduated from high school, I went to Manila to get a college degree. I remember that was my first trip, all by myself. but then going to college was not easy.

My first year of college wasn't easy; I couldn't always finish my projects on time because I didn't have enough money to buy the necessary materials, and it got worse as time went on, to the point where I had to sell my belongings just to make ends meet, but I ended up quitting college and dropping all of my classes.

I returned to Pampanga to look for work and start a new life, and I was hired for my first job as a caddy, which is a job where you assist golf players with their game. I moved out and rented a small room. I was 18 years old at that moment. Then, after 3 months, I looked for another job. Then I was so happy that I was able to get hired by one of the BPO companies here in our country.

I'll go wherever I want to.

Doing things that make me happy (to travel).

I work so hard. I saved my salary. After 2 years here I am. I have my own small business, I can go whenever I want to, I can buy what I want, and the great thing is that. I can provide financial assistance to my loved ones. The best one is I am in college again and taking BSTourism. I am so grateful and so happy. Look, it doesn't matter how difficult your life is; as long as you have a dream that you want to pursue, just keep pushing and don't give up.

My favourite food is pizza.

Life is too short to not do all the things you want to do in life. Don't think about the bad things that other people say to you or think about you. Remember the saying that they might laugh at you today, but tomorrow, once you prove yourself to them, they'll just stare at you. Some might not be happy for you, but some might be inspired and say sorry for under estimating your work and your ability to do such things.  I hope I was able to give some inspiration to you. Start making little steps! You can do it!
