MOMENT BY MOMENT

PHOTO STORY  blog#5

What is the best moment of your life that you will forget? Me, The day I put my foot to the place where I was born. The memorable place of my parents where they met each other. The place where my mom was born too. The place where most of my relatives live. Balabagan Mindanao.

The first time I stepped into this place was so overwhelming. The language, food and lifestyle are very different from where I was raised. This photo is memorable because it was the first time I came to the place where I was born. I can't explain how happy, excited and nervous I was at that moment. I'd say it's a mix of emotions. Finally, I was able to meet my family.

The second photo is memorable for me because it was the first time I saw my grandma in 20 years. I took this photo secretly because she didn't want to be in the picture, so I took a quick shot of her but she saw me doing it. That's why she smirked at me. I love you Mami.

Grandma

The third photo I took was of my uncle, and it was the first time I saw him smiling or laughing, so I took a picture of him, and I loved it. He lives with my grandmother because he doesn't have a family like a wife or a child, due to an illness. My uncle and grandma live together. The reason why I admire my grandma so much. She's a strong and independent woman. She was widowed for 40 years and she used that time to work hard for her children up until now.

The 4th photo I took is the spring near my grandma's house. This photo is memorable because I really love this place. The water is so fresh and clear that you can see through it and you can see the underwater rock formation and some tiny fishes. The water is so cold and is very refreshing, especially when it is summer.

The last two memorable photos I took are also the saddest photos, because it is time to say goodbye to my grandma, relatives and to this great place. After I took this photo, my grandma burst into tears that made me feel so bad that I didnt notice my tears were falling into my face. I'm gon na miss them so much, especially my grandma because she's so old that I won't know when we'll meet each other again. Since now it is really hard to travel. I wish I could travel so I can see and bond again with her and them.
